Toshiba Storage Device Division forstærker sit udvalg af integrerede harddiskdrev ved at lancere et nyt 1,8"-harddiskdrev. Harddiskdrevet MK1229GSG har den kapacitet og hastighed, der kræves til at opgradere en notebook uden at gå på kompromis med batteritiden eller stille akustik. SATA-drevet med to plader med en lagringskapacitet på 120GB har en rotationshastighed på 5.400 omdr./min. og en hurtig dataoverføringshastighed på 150 Mbit/sek. MK1229GSG udmærker sig desuden ved en slagfasthed på 500 G i drift og 1500 G ude af drift.
Med en vægt på kun 62 g er det nye Toshiba harddiskdrev designet til at være det perfekte drev til brugere og udviklere, som ønsker en kraftigere computer i et mindre format.
