Product info

Toshiba’s mini-drive MK8007GAH, the world’s first HDD based on perpendicular magnetic recording (PMR). This perpendicular technology helps in better data concentration on the disk platters leading to higher storage capacity.

Toshiba moved the technical barriers inherent to packing more data on an HDD. The MK8007GAH offers manufacturers significant storage for consumer, commercial and PC applications for example MP3 Players, handheld PCs, PDAs, laptops etc...

Based on 40GB per platter technology, the MK8007GAH HDD provides 80GB storage capacity – this is the largest capacity per platter yet achieved in the 1.8-inch form factor.
