Toshiba Storage Device Division introduces the world’s first 100GB 1.8-inch embedded HDD. The MK1011GAH reinforces Toshiba’s technical and manufacturing expertise in delivering high capacity mobile HDDs for consumer electronics applications.

The drive is based on perpendicular magnetic recording, utilise the new ATA-7 interface and delivers a data transfer rate of 100MB/s.

Furthermore, the Low Insertion Force (LIF) connector supports the drives smaller form factor without inhibiting the performance of the hard disk drive to its hosting device.

Enabling some of today’s most exciting, small form factor mobile devices, the new mini-drives offer manufacturers significant storage for consumer, commercial and PC applications- such as music players, handheld PCs, PDAs, wearable computers and laptops.
