Toshiba Storage Device Division pioneers its largest capacity 1.8-inch (4.6cm) form factor HDD in a 5mm height. Its super slim frame makes the MKxx39GSL ideal for use in compact mobile devices where high storage capacity coupled with sleek design is essential.
With an energy consumption efficiency of 0.0016W/GB, the MKxx39GSL uses 30 per cent less power than previous models. Weighing just 48 grams, it can withstand up to 1,500 Gs of non-operational shock and 600Gs operational shock. The MKxx39GSL also has a high buffer memory of 16MB and interface transfer rate of 1.5 Gb/sec.
The MKxx39GSL is equipped with a LIF SATA connector and has been developed using long sector formatting. The new line of HDDs is available with capacities of 160GB, 200GB and 220GB.
The environmental impact of the MKxx39GSL HDD line has been reduced by the elimination of halogen and antimony in its manufacture and is RoHS compliant.
