Toshiba SDD introduces the world’s highest density (October 2006) commercial mobile hard disk drive.
The new drive MK6037GSX features Perpendicular Magnetic Recording technology (PMR) which allows for maximum data capacity on small form factor. The drive’s 5,400 rpm motor speed improves system-level performance by as much as 12 percent when compared to 4,200 rpm.Weighing only 97 grams, the MK6037GSX incorporates the Serial ATA II Interface and is ATA-7 compliant, supporting high transfer rates of up to 150 megabytes per second.
With a capacity of 60GB, this Toshiba HDD provides mobile PC manufacturers with the ideal hard disk drive to produce faster performing and application enriched notebooks.
