The new MHW2060AC 3rd generation HDD designed for extreme operating environments enables new applications for data storage. Automotive, aircraft, marine and industrial equipment manufacturers are demanding reliable data storage for GPS navigation systems, ruggedized computing, mobile surveillance systems and other outdoor applications. The extreme environment HDDs allow manufacturers to enter these new and rapidly growing markets with confidence.
Engineered to perform in outdoor environments, the MHW2060AC series retains the outstanding level of quality and reliability for which the company is renowned. These 2.5-inch, 4,200 RPM HDDs feature 60GB of storage, low power consumption and low acoustic noise. Designed to operate at temperatures as high as +80°C and as low as -20°C, the extreme environment HDDs are an excellent choice for outdoor applications such as ATMs, point-of sale (POS) Systems, auto-ticketing machines, and suitable for automotive GPS devices and navigation systems.
